- Hi,
-
- I have a question regarding the USR 28.8 (upgradable to 33.6Kbps)
- WinModem : What standard is the 33.6 Kbps ? Does it only work at 33.6
- with another USR modem ? Or is this a standard that other vendors are
- supporting as well ? I'm about to buy a modem, and this USR is only
- going for $129 (at Fry's) which seems like a good deal for a 28.8 modem
- that is upgradable to 33.6. Comments ?
-
- Oh, and 1 more thing : Does it work under DOS ? I've checked USR's
- press release, and they said that it was designed "exclusively for
- Windows"...Hmmmmm
-
- Thanks.
